The primary purpose in furthering our goal of service is to encourage members to           save money.  Another purpose is to offer loans to members.  In fact, credit unions          have traditionally made loans to people of ordinary means.  Credit unions can   charge lower rates for loans (as well as pay higher dividends on savings) because          they  are non-profit cooperatives.  Rather then paying profits to stockholders, credit           unions earnings return to members in the form of dividends and improved services.

Members of the following groups are eligible to join the Iron Workers Federal Union:

• Iron Workers Local #3
• Iron Workers Benefits Plan of Western PA
• Tree of Life or L*Smicha Congregation
• St. Augustines Parish
• Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority

Current and former members of the credit union have the ability to have their family members join the credit union.  If you are interested in joining the credit union or          know a family member that would like to join, just stop by the office or give us a call at (412) 471-1133 or toll free at (800) 471-4928.  We are open Monday thru Friday       8 am – 4pm and the third Tuesday of every month from 9 am – 7 pm.
